Provides independent challenge on underwriting, valuations, financial models, stress testing, due diligence, and risk appetite. Advises the CRO, Executive Committee, and Board, strengthens the Financial Risk Management Framework, ensures regulatory alignment and portfolio resilience, and develops future risk leaders.

Lead place-based strategy for regional economic growth, catalyse investment, connect finance providers with businesses, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver measurable increases in local business finance and economic outcomes while aligning local approaches with national strategy.

Provides legal support for fund-based transactions and broader corporate governance matters. Advises on investment structures, financial regulation, and commercial issues involving debt, venture capital, funds-of-funds, listed funds, and other investment vehicles. Manages legal advice, due diligence, transaction support, and external counsel relationships while working with product teams and internal stakeholders. Requires strong technical legal knowledge, sound judgment, clear communication, funds transaction experience, and qualification to practise law in the UK.

Leads complex, high-value public procurement activities, shaping procurement strategies, managing market engagement and tender processes, and ensuring legislative compliance, governance, risk management, and value for money. Provides expert commercial advice to senior stakeholders, identifies efficiencies and savings, manages supplier relationships, and supports colleagues through mentoring and knowledge sharing. The role requires extensive public procurement experience, professional services procurement expertise, strong communication skills, and MCIPS or an equivalent qualification.

Provides legal and administrative support across litigation, dispute resolution, and direct investment activities. Responsibilities include organizing case files, preparing correspondence and document bundles, coordinating disclosure, tracking deadlines and budgets, conducting legal research, supporting hearings, reviewing transaction documents, assisting with NDAs, liaising with external counsel, coordinating document execution, and maintaining legal records and procedures.

Manage a regional investment portfolio supporting UK businesses. Responsibilities include reviewing investment data, analyzing fund performance, risks and commitments, preparing reports and investment papers, supporting presentations, collaborating with internal teams and external fund managers, and improving reporting, data quality and operational processes. The role requires clear communication, sound judgment, organization and effective deadline management.

Lead place-based economic growth strategy for the East and South East, driving local finance outcomes. Build partnerships across investors, banks and fintechs, facilitate deals and improve access to capital. Represent the Bank to senior political and commercial stakeholders, align regional plans with national strategy, and provide internal leadership to deliver measurable increases in local business finance and economic impact.
