Manage and improve a hybrid IT infrastructure (cloud, on‑prem and hybrid). Own routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, server administration, AD, endpoint management, monitoring, backups and DR. Provide third‑line support, troubleshoot complex issues, work with MSPs and deliver security, resilience and automation improvements in a regulated environment.

Support and operate Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure across SaaS, IaaS and PaaS. Maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), build and improve CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), automate with PowerShell/Python/YAML, design/test disaster recovery, and contribute to cloud governance, monitoring, security and cost optimisation.

Ensure reliability, security and performance of cloud, hybrid and on-prem infrastructure. Manage and enhance servers, networks and cloud environments; support backup and disaster recovery; troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis; collaborate with MSPs and stakeholders; monitor performance, automate operations, support Infrastructure as Code and DevOps adoption, and maintain technical documentation.

Lead place-based strategy and deliver regional investment outcomes by building relationships with fund managers, banks and partners. Shape and structure equity and debt opportunities, influence local systems, drive dealmaking, and mobilise internal teams to unlock finance for growing businesses. Provide senior stakeholder engagement and lead a local team to generate measurable commercial impact.

Lead place-based strategy for Scotland within the Local Growth team, catalysing investment, connecting finance providers with high-potential businesses, and improving access-to-finance. Represent the Bank to senior political, business and financial stakeholders, design and execute tailored local initiatives, measure increases in local business finance and economic outcomes, and align regional activity with national strategy.
