Lead delivery of the Bank's public affairs strategy: build relationships with government, think tanks and sector stakeholders; prepare briefings, events, ministerial and parliamentary activity; provide political insight, horizon-scan risks/opportunities, and translate complex policy into clear communications while supporting and developing team members.

Review and assess venture and growth fund investment opportunities focused on life sciences. Support due diligence, prepare investment papers, review legal documents, and manage a portfolio of fund investments including reporting, advisory board attendance, co-investment support, and issue resolution. Collaborate with internal teams, advisers, and external partners.

Support investment managers on venture and growth capital fund investments: research, due diligence, financial modelling, portfolio management, data analysis and quarterly reporting. Use Dynamics, Affinity and Power BI, collaborate with Legal, Risk, Operations, Finance and Strategy, and support events and communications as needed.

Lead place-based strategy for regional economic growth, catalyse investment, connect finance providers with businesses, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver measurable increases in local business finance and economic outcomes while aligning local approaches with national strategy.

The role involves shaping place-based activities, developing local strategies, and fostering financing ecosystems for high-potential businesses, requiring commercial experience in finance and stakeholder engagement.
