The role also drives business development, client relationships, practice growth, strategic initiatives, team leadership, mentoring, and market visibility across mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, and financing transactions.

Leads and expands Baker Tilly’s Canada-U.S. cross-border personal tax practice. The Partner oversees complex compliance, planning, structuring, and advisory engagements; manages client relationships, team capacity, workflows, and operational growth; collaborates across Canadian and U.S. teams; and serves as the firm’s primary cross-border tax resource. The role requires hands-on practice leadership, scalable process development, and delivery of practical solutions to individual clients.

Prepares compilations, reviews, NTRs, audits, and corporate and personal tax returns. Mentors staff, manages deadlines, resolves client issues, communicates with clients and partners, and delivers accurate public-practice accounting services.

Manage private-company audit engagements from planning through completion, including risk assessment, financial statement analysis, compliance, budgeting, WIP management, quality review, and client communication. Lead, mentor, and develop audit teams while ensuring adherence to accounting standards and firm policies. Contribute to audit process improvements and maintain knowledge of emerging accounting and auditing requirements.
