The firm is seeking a Non-Equity Partner in US Corporate Tax to lead an established and growing US tax practice. This role will take ownership of compliance and advisory delivery across a large and active client base, manage increasing workload volumes, and build the team, processes, and structure required to support continued growth.
A hands-on operator who leads delivery, manages team capacity, and supports both compliance and advisory work. The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to:
- Manage high-volume compliance cycles and deadlines
- Scale a team and workflow as demand increases
- Act as the go-to resource for US tax matters internally
- Support both structured engagements and ad hoc client requests
This is not a pure technical specialist role. It requires a partner who can run a practice.
What You Bring:
- CPA (US) preferred (aligned to practice leadership expectation)
- CPA (Canada) asset
- EA acceptable
- Strong US corporate tax compliance and advisory capability
- Practical exposure to US tax operational delivery and workflow management
- Familiarity with cross-border tax considerations and coordination with Canadian teams
- Exposure to indirect and sales tax workstreams emerging within the practice
- Ability to support ad hoc advisory and consulting engagements
- Years of experience: 10–18 years in US tax, including leadership experience
- Current level: Senior Manager, Director, Principal, or Non-Equity Partner
- Firm background: Big 4, national firm, or US-focused tax group
- Client profile: US corporations, Canadian companies with US operations
- Geography: GTA-based; hybrid model
