The role also handles employee inquiries, verification of employment, timesheet review, client recordkeeping, and special projects in a remote consulting environment.

Serve as primary HR contact for startup clients, managing HR operations, compliance, payroll/benefits coordination, onboarding/offboarding, policy and contract drafting, employee relations investigations, insurance oversight, regulatory reporting, and preparing HR reports and audit files. Provide client-facing guidance on employment law and multi-jurisdictional compliance and support special compliance projects.

As a Controller for high-growth startups, you will lead finance functions, manage payroll and benefits, ensure accurate financial reporting, and improve processes in fast-paced environments.

Lead client accounting engagements and manage an offshore accounting team. Perform full-cycle month-end close, prepare financial statements, reconciliations, accruals, cash forecasts, AR/AP, payroll clearing reconciliations, sales tax, inventory and equity accounting. Use multiple accounting, payroll, billing, expense, and merchant platforms, support tax compliance and filings, and communicate directly with clients and controllers.
