Own and execute the IT SOX compliance program, including scoping, risk assessment, walkthroughs, ITGC and application control testing, documentation, reporting, and remediation tracking. The Engineering Internship at Atlas Energy Solutions provides practical experience in power systems, allowing interns to support engineering activities, collect and analyze data, and collaborate on projects with experienced engineers.

Lead and execute operational, financial, IT, and SOX audits from planning through reporting. Perform gap analyses, manage multiple audit projects, coordinate with stakeholders and external auditors, contribute to risk assessments and the annual audit plan, and prepare reports for senior management and the Audit Committee.

Own risk and insurance data governance, renewal coordination, exposure tracking, and reporting. Develop standardized renewal workflows, validate and reconcile risk data, and produce dashboards and executive reports to inform underwriting, financials, and operational risk decisions.

Manage and grow a portfolio of Atlas clients by building trusted relationships, identifying new business, negotiating contracts, driving revenue for frac sand, logistics, and last-mile solutions, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.

Manage and coordinate transportation, storage, and distribution of proppant (sand) across multi-origin/multi-destination networks. Optimize routes, track inventory and shipments, negotiate with carriers/3PLs, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, maintain logistics documentation, analyze data for process improvements, support troubleshooting, and collaborate with internal and external partners.

Design, implement, and support hybrid IT/OT infrastructure across plants and corporate environments. Engineer networking, Windows server, virtualization, and Azure cloud services; maintain backup/DR, monitoring, and secure OT connectivity for SCADA/ICS systems. Partner with cybersecurity, produce documentation and runbooks, and develop architecture roadmaps to improve resilience, segmentation, and operational reliability. Travel to sites as needed.

Build and maintain AI-powered features (conversational interfaces, automations, computer vision), integrate AI with internal systems and Azure services, implement testing and governance for AI behavior, ensure security and privacy controls, monitor deployed solutions for performance and cost, and respond to incidents and improvements.

Serve as the liaison between business units and AI developers: lead discovery, translate business needs into requirements, prioritize use cases, support solution design, drive adoption and change management, measure ROI, and ensure responsible AI governance and compliance.

Provide on-site IT systems and desktop support in manufacturing and office environments. Administer Windows servers, virtualization, storage, Office 365/Azure, AD/Exchange, networking, and deploy infrastructure across multiple locations. Troubleshoot hardware/software interfacing with factory equipment, script administrative tasks, document procedures, mentor staff, be on-call, and travel between Texas sites as needed.

Lead document control for capital projects across Sand & Logistics and Power divisions. Establish DMS standards, manage revision control, submittal/RFI tracking, lifecycle and turnover documentation, conduct audits, train teams, and ensure compliance to reduce execution risk and enable timely project closeout.

Lead cost, schedule, and performance management for large CAPEX projects: develop CPM master schedules, perform EVM and schedule analyses, manage cost control and forecasting, validate contractor progress, lead forecast reviews, report to executives, oversee change management and risk mitigation, integrate EPC schedules, and mentor staff.
