Leads the First Nations Family Advocate Office, overseeing advocacy, navigation, public education, operations, strategic planning, budgets, funding, reporting, and child welfare reform initiatives. The role advances First Nations jurisdiction, analyzes legislation and policy, supports systemic change, represents the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs, develops recommendations, and collaborates with child welfare authorities, research partners, leadership, and community organizations. Extensive travel and flexible hours are required.

Delivers culturally informed Indian Day School workshops and educational materials for schools, youth, community groups, survivors, and families. Coordinates program activities, schedules, supplies, communications, partnerships, logistics, technology, and events. Maintains documentation, monthly reporting, policy compliance, confidentiality, and professional relationships while supporting effective program delivery.

Work with Manitoba First Nations to support restoration and customization of Sovereign Nations Family Laws related to children and families. Coordinate meetings, develop needs assessments and implementation plans, advise on governance, provide progress reports, liaise between First Nations and the First Nations Family Advocate Office, and support training, engagement, and reunification best practices. Travel and flexible hours required.

Lead AMC's internal and external communications, supervise communications staff, develop strategy and crisis plans, manage media relations, branding, budgets, and stakeholder engagement to promote the Grand Chief and organizational priorities.

Lead policy development and research for the First Nations Family Advocate Office, manage projects and proposals, analyze provincial/federal CFS legislation, produce briefs and reports, train and supervise policy staff, engage stakeholders, provide technical advice to leadership, and respond to urgent after-hours matters.

Leads economic development initiatives for First Nations by developing strategies, identifying investment and partnership opportunities, preparing funding applications and reports, coordinating projects, and presenting recommendations to leadership. The role builds relationships with governments, industry, communities, consultants, and business partners; monitors work plans and project progress; supports revenue-generating ventures; maintains business records and contracts; and provides economic development briefings, presentations, and recommendations.

Provide frontline intake and client support for Jordan's Principle: manage calls, emails and referrals; perform intake, data entry, record-keeping, scheduling, and administrative coordination; liaise with staff and service providers; maintain confidentiality and assist with reporting and program tracking.

Lead financial management, reporting, budgeting, auditing, and treasury functions. Provide strategic finance advice, oversee accounting/payroll teams, enforce internal controls, manage funding and contracts, and support program financial planning and stakeholder reporting.

Conduct policy research and analysis, develop policy proposals and briefs, collect and interpret data, monitor implementation, engage stakeholders, support meetings and program logistics, and advocate for systemic changes to support First Nations individuals, families and communities.
