Lead financial management, reporting, budgeting, auditing, and treasury functions. Provide strategic finance advice, oversee accounting/payroll teams, enforce internal controls, manage funding and contracts, and support program financial planning and stakeholder reporting.

Conduct policy research and analysis, develop policy proposals and briefs, collect and interpret data, monitor implementation, engage stakeholders, support meetings and program logistics, and advocate for systemic changes to support First Nations individuals, families and communities.

Support day-to-day HR operations including time and attendance tracking, payroll documentation, employee record-keeping, onboarding/offboarding, responding to HR inquiries, and recommending HRIS improvements. Liaise with managers and payroll to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance.

Serve as the primary liaison between the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs (AMC) and Manitoba Hydro, leading stakeholder engagement on energy policy, the energy transition, and hydroelectric operations; coordinate consultations, surveys, focus groups and information sessions; analyze and communicate technical and financial information for non-technical audiences; report on engagement outcomes and help resolve concerns between AMC, member First Nations, and Manitoba Hydro.

Provide culturally appropriate individual supports and workshops for First Nations youth in or aging out of care. Liaise with CFS agencies, families, schools, and legal representatives; complete intakes and Brave Paths; facilitate life-skills, healing, cultural and employment workshops; assist with housing, education, employment resources; attend court when required; maintain case notes and monthly reports; collaborate with advocacy staff and community elders.

Lead policy development and research for the First Nations Family Advocate Office, manage projects and proposals, analyze provincial/federal CFS legislation, produce briefs and reports, train and supervise policy staff, engage stakeholders, provide technical advice to leadership, and respond to urgent after-hours matters.

Lead AMC's internal and external communications, supervise communications staff, develop strategy and crisis plans, manage media relations, branding, budgets, and stakeholder engagement to promote the Grand Chief and organizational priorities.

Work with Manitoba First Nations to support restoration and customization of Sovereign Nations Family Laws related to children and families. Coordinate meetings, develop needs assessments and implementation plans, advise on governance, provide progress reports, liaise between First Nations and the First Nations Family Advocate Office, and support training, engagement, and reunification best practices. Travel and flexible hours required.
