Manage product development projects for optical ground station and lasercom systems: define scope, plan timelines, control budgets and forecasts, mitigate risks, coordinate stakeholders and suppliers, support documentation and change control, and align technical workstreams with programme-level reporting.

Lead end-to-end design, integration, verification, and testing of complex electronic subsystems for optical communications terminals. Responsibilities include requirements and architecture, schematic and PCB development, component selection, harness design, hardware-software integration, communication protocol debugging, test equipment design, documentation, AIT readiness, supplier coordination, and mentoring engineers.

Build and lead the Network Operations function for a deployed optical communications network. Own network planning, service availability, monitoring, maintenance, incident management, customer operational support, onboarding, deployments, commissioning, and operational readiness. Establish processes, tools, and standards while coordinating with customers, Production, Product Development, and Engineering. Lead multidisciplinary teams supporting company- and customer-owned ground station infrastructure and associated communication services.

Develop and manage global customer relationships for optical communications products and services. Own opportunity pipelines through deal closure, shape customer-focused offers, lead complex multi-stakeholder pursuits and RFP/RFI responses, and represent the company at industry events. Build market intelligence and contribute to go-to-market strategy across commercial, civil, and defence markets, particularly with satellite operators, aerospace primes, and government customers.

Lead the specification, architecture, integration, verification, qualification, deployment, and operation of optical ground station systems. Own system requirements, documentation, risk management, technical partner relationships, and interoperability testing. Coordinate Agile workflows and suppliers, mentor engineers, and improve systems engineering processes using MBSE. The role requires hands-on testing, troubleshooting, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration across the full engineering lifecycle.
