Pfizer is a global pharmaceutical company working to apply advances in science and technology to the development of vaccines and medical treatments. Achieve is a financial services company that provides consumers with loans and debt management solutions. For example, the Achieve GOOD App allows users to visualize their spending and follow a plan for paying off their debt and preventing the accumulation of future debt. The company says it has served upwards of 1.5 million members, working with them to resolve billions of dollars in debt.

Biofire brings together engineers from a variety of backgrounds to develop firearms infused with tech-enabled safety features. The Biofire Smart Gun is designed to be unlocked for use through fingerprint and facial recognition systems and then automatically locks once it leaves an authorized user’s hand. Gun owners have control over temporary or permanent access to their smart gun for other trusted individuals.

Agile Six works with government agencies to design and develop tech solutions that enable them to better serve the public. For example, the company has worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs to streamline their editorial processes so it’s easier to publish information that’s critical for veterans to be able to access.

Sandbox VR has more than two dozen retail and franchise locations where consumers can navigate virtual worlds using its proprietary technology. Groups can choose from a selection of immersive social and gaming experiences created by Sandbox VR’s in-house development studio. They can play as a pirate in a treasure hunt, for example, or battle zombies.

PatientPoint’s technology is designed to improve patient engagement. Solutions like custom health content, online reputation management and remote patient monitoring have helped improve patients’ health, according to PatientPoint, leading to increases in proactive measures such as smoking cessation counseling and screenings for various types of cancer.

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is an established name in cancer care with more than a century-long legacy of treating patients. It invests heavily in research, training and technology. It also created a cancer engineering doctoral program that trains biomedical scientists to bring together engineering, physical science and computing in an effort to improve cancer diagnoses and treatments. 

Vision: To be the world’s leading authority on cancer.

Jabra Hearing is a health tech company that offers direct-to-consumer hearing aids that are managed remotely. Looking to the future of telemedicine and hearing care, the company has developed tech that will allow clients to access audiology services on a remote basis. Jabra’s in-house audiology team works with its clients to onboard them to its high-tech, Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids.

IKEA sells all sorts of home goods, from sofas and dining tables to rugs and light fixtures. The company also works with research and design lab SPACE10 to develop innovative new design solutions.
