Create a company profileARInspect’s core mission is a simple one; Protect the environment, health, and safety of the communities we live in! In 2014, the drinking water crisis in Flint, Michigan took the national stage. During the crisis, lead poisoning among Flint citizens doubled, leaving over 100,000 residents exposed to dangerous levels of lead. Plus, an estimated 8,000 children under the age of 6 were exposed to potentially brain-altering levels. In 2020, the novel coronavirus pandemic proved that our world faces greater and more complex environmental, health and safety challenges which go well beyond Flint, Michigan. To help our clients face these challenges, we built the ARInspect Platform using cutting edge technologies like Machine Learning, Image Recognition, process automation, mobility, and many more. ARInspect offers the world’s first automated compliance platform. Providing actionable data insights and next-generation technology applications, resulting in safer communities across our world. Since launching, ARInspect has helped many federal, state, and local government agencies with compliance activities ranging from conducting environmental inspections to using RFID and mobile technology to recover from natural disasters such as hurricane Maria. Our healthcare clients are using the Platform along with various IOT devices to ensure the health and safety of their patients and employees while ensuring that they remain COVID-19 compliant. ARInspect Platform has been discovered to increase efficiency by 50% and increase number of compliance activities such as screenings, inspections and investigations by 25%. Our platform keeps communities safer and businesses thriving through data insights and next-generation technologies made easy and efficient, once and for all.

The National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC) is an operating unit within Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute (RI), the world’s largest robotics research and development organization. NREC works closely with government and industry clients to develop and mature robotic technologies from concept to commercialization. A typical NREC project includes a rapid proof-of-concept demonstration followed by an in-depth development and testing phase that produces a robust prototype with intellectual property for licensing and commercialization. Throughout this process, NREC applies best practices for software development, system integration, and field testing. What can NREC do for you?

Working at Canvas: Canvas is on a mission to improve the quality and affordability of the places where we live, work, sleep, and play, while simultaneously improving the working conditions of the people who build these spaces. We're just at the beginning, and looking for extraordinary people who sit at the intersection of 'high-performing' and 'empathic' to make it happen. One of the best parts about being a startup is getting to create the company we want to work for. To that end, we think it’s important to have a deliberate and ongoing dialogue about how to create a workplace where we can thrive and do our best work. We don’t just talk about values in the abstract but rather how to build a culture that reflects them. We also believe that great employee benefits empower great work. We offer: Competitive Pay & Equity: Delivered through a transparent and fair system. Health Coverage: Excellent medical, dental, and vision options for you and the ones you love. Culture: Company fun days, crawfish boils, cooking challenges, and potluck lunches. Diversity & Inclusion: Different views & unique backgrounds are a competitive advantage.

DITCH THE “CRUTCH” Working alongside Physical Therapists we help patients improve walking function with the goal of discarding their assistive devices. The Problem: Approximately 30% of the 800,000 new strokes in the United States result in foot drop. Globally, there are 17 million new strokes per year. Nearly half are left with persistent mobility deficits even after completion of all conventional therapy, which invariably involve ankle weakness; a crucial joint for walking and balance. The existing 125,000 rehabilitation centers cannot effectively treat foot drop with current methods and are left to prescribing rigid archaic braces to imobilize the ankle. Current Solutions: "Crutches" - Currently the treatment for foot drop is to immobilize and brace the ankle. This technology has not seen much change since King Tut used his crutches. A New Option: We are developing a low cost and portable ankle robot that will treat foot drop in a way not yet accomplished before. Real Results: 85% of participants in a small randomized study self discarded their ankle foot orthotics or reduced dependance of their assistive devices.
