Responsibilities include designing, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting cyber-physical and mechatronic systems; supporting senior application engineers; developing customer proof of concepts; and performing hands-on system testing in manufacturing environments. The role is onsite in Carson, California, runs approximately October 2026 through March 2027, and requires U.S. work authorization.

Leads the end-to-end mechanical design, integration, testing, and deployment of complex robotic manufacturing systems. Designs robotic workcells, mechanisms, transporters, and end-of-arm tooling; performs structural analysis, simulation, prototyping, and safety assessments. Collaborates with software, electrical, mechatronics, vendors, and customers to optimize reachability, cycle time, reliability, and manufacturability. Manages component selection, procurement, BOMs, PDM records, troubleshooting, and compliance with industrial robotics safety standards.

Own end-to-end procurement for a robotics company, including supplier sourcing, negotiation, purchase orders, contract management, vendor performance, demand forecasting, and fulfillment. Build procurement systems, track purchase orders and lead times, resolve delivery and quality issues, and report metrics and cost savings. Partner with engineering, product, logistics, deployment, and quality teams while using AI-enabled tools to automate reporting and sourcing analysis.

Own the employee experience across onboarding, offboarding, engagement, payroll, benefits, leave administration, compliance, employee relations, HRIS operations, and reporting. Configure and optimize UKG and related workflows, maintain HR policies and audit readiness, guide managers through sensitive personnel decisions, and build scalable people processes in a fast-growing robotics startup. The role is onsite four days weekly at the Carson headquarters.

Designs, analyzes, prototypes, integrates, and validates robotic hardware and end-of-arm tooling. Responsibilities include FEA, structural and thermal simulation, DFM, hardware selection, safety compliance, tolerance analysis, root cause investigations, vendor management, BOM and lifecycle management, cost reduction, and mentoring junior engineers.

Coordinate aerospace and defense robotics projects from design through deployment and activation. Maintain schedules, milestones, action logs, budgets, risks, requirements, procurement, logistics, installation plans, testing, documentation, and customer handoffs. Coordinate engineering teams, suppliers, customer stakeholders, facilities, security, and EHS teams. Support commissioning, acceptance testing, operator training, turnover, and compliance with ITAR and customer information-handling requirements.

Develop production robotics perception software for manufacturing environments. Responsibilities include 3D geometry reconstruction, segmentation, inspection, active perception, viewpoint planning, multi-sensor fusion, GPU acceleration, hardware-software integration, debugging, and deployment support. The role works directly with physical robots and sensors, assists application teams with proofs of concept and deployments, and travels to customer sites for system-level troubleshooting.

Own end-to-end delivery of a multi-year autonomous manufacturing facility supporting a defense-scale shipbuilding program. Responsibilities include facility setup, robotic application sequencing, production qualification, ongoing operations coordination, NAVSEA compliance, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, milestone reporting, and maintaining program requirements and handoffs. The role requires coordinating engineering teams, external robotics partners, customer leadership, and government stakeholders while traveling to program sites up to 25% of the time.

Owner of company IT surface: PC fleet provisioning and imaging, fleet and customer site support, GPU/kernel troubleshooting, ticketing and intake, access management, enclave compliance support, working with DevOps on CI/VPN/DNS, and documenting SOPs to reduce tribal knowledge.

Manage government proposals, contracts, grants, compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, fund tracking, and audit documentation. Ensure adherence to FAR, DFARS, DCAA, SBIR/STTR, and grant requirements while supporting contract negotiations, modifications, renewals, and cross-functional execution with legal, finance, and operations teams.

Conduct foundation-model research for robotic manipulation and high-precision manufacturing. Responsibilities include data curation, simulation, model training, evaluation, rigorous testing on industrial robots, and deployment to production hardware. The intern will work independently on ambiguous AI problems, develop multimodal models, use reinforcement or imitation learning, collaborate cross-functionally, and write maintainable production-quality R&D code.

Develop, deploy, test, and support software for high-DOF robotic manufacturing systems used in government projects. Build algorithms for planning, learning, perception, and control; execute proofs of concept; prototype sensors, tools, and processes; and collaborate with systems, applications, and robotics software engineers. Maintain deployed software, rapidly iterate on the software stack, evaluate emerging robotics technologies, and transition R&D prototypes into production code.

Lead the design and implementation of robust C++ software architectures for robotics systems, managing core components and integrating hardware.

Perform outbound prospecting across phone, email, LinkedIn and in-person events to generate qualified demos and appointments for Account Executives. Learn product and manufacturing use-cases, run multi-channel outreach (including AI-enabled tools), maintain prospect records, provide feedback to improve campaigns, and adapt strategies to scale the outbound sales engine.
