Provides legal counsel across IonQ’s product lifecycle, leading regulatory compliance for technology products and negotiating strategic partnerships, licensing, joint development, supply, and manufacturing transactions. The role partners with product, research, engineering, finance, privacy, and compliance teams; develops product-legal processes; and advises on novel legal issues involving quantum technology, international operations, and export-controlled products.

Conduct title examinations, chain-of-title research, curative work, and oil and gas contract drafting and negotiation across West Virginia. Manage client relationships, prepare title and acquisition materials, coordinate multiple projects, mentor junior landmen, and ensure accurate, timely work product. Requires deep knowledge of West Virginia recording systems, oil and gas law, county procedures, and industry documents, along with regular travel throughout the state.

Develop and refine AI-powered legal and contract workflows in collaboration with product, engineering, service delivery, and clients. Create training and enablement materials, monitor legal AI and contract automation markets, evaluate workflow quality, experiment with prompts and prototypes, and advise stakeholders on practical AI applications. The role requires transactional legal experience, hands-on use of legal AI tools, strong communication, and hybrid work in the New York City office three days per week.

Provides senior legal guidance for global payments and fintech operations, including product design, market expansion, payment regulations, cross-border funds flow, commercial agreements, treasury, settlement, and regulatory reviews. Partners with Product, Engineering, Finance, Risk, and Compliance teams to manage legal and operational risk, negotiate complex agreements, and develop scalable compliance approaches.

Own the commercial contracting lifecycle across intake, drafting, negotiation, approvals, execution, and repository management. Administer and scale Ironclad workflows, templates, playbooks, permissions, reporting, migrations, and automation. Independently negotiate NDAs, prepare agreement markups, manage SLAs, coordinate cross-functional approvals, maintain contract data quality, and improve processes through workflow automation and AI tools.

Provide legal support for end-to-end payor and vendor contracting, focusing on Medicare Advantage and value-based care agreements. Draft and maintain templates, negotiate terms, manage post-execution issues, advise on regulatory impacts, coordinate cross-functionally (Finance, IT, Compliance), and support related provider, ACO, and clinical program contracting and legal research.

Supports attorneys and business stakeholders on lending, payments, Banking-as-a-Service, contracts, and regulatory matters. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating agreements, reviewing loan closing packages and marketing materials, managing subpoenas, litigation and bankruptcy support, maintaining legal records, coordinating compliance and audits, supporting legal technology, and improving department processes.
