Provide technical accounting support for GM Defense programs: analyze contracts and transactions for US GAAP and FAR/CAS compliance, document conclusions, advise stakeholders, support contract pursuits, maintain controls and SOX compliance, assist SAP system configuration and month-end close, and support disclosures and accounting projects.

Maintain general ledger and subsidiary ledgers; prepare and review complex journal entries, reconciliations, and technical accounting for a large serviced portfolio. Lead month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, audits, financial reporting, process improvements, and supervise staff on accounting projects.

Manage daily shared-service accounting operations, perform month-end/quarter/year-end close activities, reconcile general ledger and intercompany accounts, support audits and SOX-related controls, and drive process improvements via ERP, automation, and AI-assisted workflows while liaising with cross-functional teams.
