The US MLRO and Financial Crimes Officer will execute day-to-day US AML, sanctions, broker-dealer compliance, and financial-crime risk activities. Responsibilities include SAR and CTR filings, FinCEN and OFAC obligations, KYC and source-of-funds reviews, AML assessments for products and tokens, 314a/314b requests, law-enforcement inquiries, and regulatory examinations. The role requires active FINRA licenses, broker-dealer compliance experience, digital-assets expertise, blockchain analytics knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Manage institutional crypto trade settlements, counterparty requests, inventory reconciliation, and trade data across internal and external systems. Coordinate with trading, treasury, accounting, compliance, risk, product, and customer success teams. Monitor settlement and lending needs, resolve reconciliation breaks, support regulatory controls, and improve operational processes while maintaining data integrity and meeting KPIs.

Manage financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and operational finance across US business units. Lead and scale BitGo's internal audit function, design and execute a risk-based audit program, drive SOX/ICFR compliance, manage SOC/CCSS audits and co-sourced audit providers, report findings to the Board and Audit Committees, and partner with cross-functional teams to remediate control gaps.

Leads financial risk management for a CFTC-registered derivatives clearing organization. Responsibilities include designing and monitoring margin models, recalibrating parameters, conducting back-testing and stress testing, assessing clearing member and clearinghouse exposures, sizing default waterfalls and guaranty funds, preparing regulatory risk reports, maintaining model governance documentation, supporting regulatory examinations, and overseeing member capital, liquidity, collateral, and operational risk.

Manage partnership tax compliance for asset management funds and partnership entities, including tax workpapers and Schedule K-1 reporting. Support Up-C tax compliance, taxable income allocations, IRC 704(c) tracking, estimated TRA payments, IRS forms, notices, and tax files. Coordinate with internal teams, external advisors, fund administrators, tax counsel, and Big 4 firms. Analyze strategic initiatives and use AI and automation tools to improve tax operations.

Design and implement quantitative trading and market-making strategies for on-chain and cross-chain markets. Build signal generation, simulation, execution, and attribution frameworks. Partner with protocol engineering to productionize research, monitor performance, and identify monetization opportunities across Defuse's intent-driven liquidity platform.

Prepare and document comprehensive credit presentations and underwriting analyses for new and existing commercial credit relationships. Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral, repayment capacity, and qualitative risk factors; recommend loan structures, covenants, and risk-mitigation measures; perform periodic reviews and monitor compliance with loan terms and regulations.
