Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) – Zuora Revenue (RevPro)
Digital Enterprise Technology (DET) is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) to join our Finance Engineering team, specializing in Zuora Revenue (RevPro). This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing revenue accounting solutions aligned with ASC 606, enabling accurate and scalable revenue recognition across enterprise systems.
The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Zuora Revenue configuration, data integration, and revenue lifecycle processes, along with solid technical skills in APIs, SQL, and data platforms like Snowflake. This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, and upstream system teams to ensure accurate data flow, reconciliation, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and support Zuora Revenue (RevPro) for revenue recognition, contract modifications, and compliance with ASC 606
Manage revenue lifecycle processes including booking, allocation, recognition, and reconciliation
Build and maintain integrations between upstream systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Zuora Revenue using APIs, ZOQL, and middleware tools
Develop and optimize data pipelines and transformations using SQL and Snowflake scripting
Configure and enhance Zuora workflows, data queries, and automation processes
Troubleshoot revenue discrepancies, data issues, and month-end close challenges
Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
Support DevOps and deployment processes, ensuring smooth releases and production stability
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specs, test plans, and runbooks
Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior team members
Stay current with Zuora Revenue capabilities and industry best practices
Required Skills
6–8 years of experience in system development, integrations, and financial systems
Strong hands-on experience with Zuora Revenue (RevPro) configuration and support
Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606) and revenue lifecycle processes
Proficiency in Zuora APIs, ZOQL, and integration patterns
Strong SQL skills with experience in Snowflake scripting and data transformations
Experience integrating Zuora with upstream systems like Salesforce and downstream financial systems
Knowledge of Zuora Workflow, Data Query, and automation frameworks
Familiarity with developer tools (e.g., Postman) and debugging integration/data issues
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially during month-end close and reconciliations
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills
Zuora Certified Administrator or Developer
Experience with integration/orchestration tools (e.g., Workato)
Familiarity with Salesforce (Apex) or data platform integrations
Experience with collections or adjacent finance tools (e.g., Tesorio)
Exposure to enterprise data platforms and reporting frameworks
