This position is office-based, meaning regular in-person collaboration or use of office equipment is essential to maximize effectiveness for this team and/or position. Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of our Paris office location and should expect to be in office a minimum of 4 days per week.

The Workplace Manager is a member of the Real Estate and Workplace team managing all aspects of the workplace for Sonos Paris operations. The Workplace Manager is a hands-on position, working on varied tasks relating to the day-to-day management of our Paris office, leading on projects and space management that aligns with global real estate strategy. 

You’ll be the focal point of contact for local teams by creating a productive atmosphere in which people thrive. The ideal candidate is relentless about details, reliable and passionate about people. You have a warm, outgoing demeanor, like having fun and enjoy building relationships.  You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and jump when necessary. You are a self-starter who likes to figure things out and a drive to get things done. You get excited about working on a wide variety of projects and can easily change direction. You are savvy at balancing the needs and emotions of both your customers and your team.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all employees, visitors, and vendors. Maintain a professional and welcoming presence at all times. 

  • Oversee front desk services including but not limited to mail sorting and distribution, voicemail management, employee service request tickets, and answering general questions.

  • Vendor management; all aspects of vendor selection and management. Act as the key consultant in identifying a need for a vendor change; researching new vendors, presenting options and executing a smooth transition of a new vendor/service.

  • Coordinating meetings through conference room booking, catering support, and space/layout requests.

  • Space planning (MAC) for the office and monitoring utilization reporting.

  • Processing of all invoices, purchase requisitions and tracking for accurate budget reporting and management.

  • Manage safety and security programs (DUERP), working across the global team to ensure consistency with other locations. Ability to act as safety captain in the event of an emergency and oversee building evacuations, escalation to first responders, etc. 

  • Order and maintain inventory of office supplies, shipping supplies, snacks, and beverages.

  • Shipping & receiving, both international and domestic.

  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; knows and understands the power of appropriate communication.

  • Fluent in French and English.

  • Attention to detail; ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task.

  • Customer service skills; patient, attentive, knowledgeable, positive, and ability to read your audience.

  • Project Management: Leadership, management and oversight of projects, contracts and construction.

  • Technology: Facility management technology, security technology and workplace management systems.

  • Proactive, hands-on and able to work independently.

  • 5+ years’ experience in Workplace or similar role.

  • Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of our Paris office location and should expect to be in office a minimum of 4 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and help.

  • Experience working in a corporate environment.

  • Familiarity with with JIRA, Confluence, Zoom, Slack, Canva, GSuite.

  • Experience using both Windows and Mac OS, iOS.

  • High-energy with exceptional ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently.
