Role and Responsibilities:
- Work directly with financially distressed customers.
- Evaluate the customer’s situation against our possible remedies.
- Negotiate with customer to keep loan active and prevent loss for the company and for the customer.
- Process and follow up on the workout remedy plan until completed, which may possibly include the entire reinstatement process of repossessed collateral or an extension.
- Meet monthly productivity and quality goals.
- Comply with all federal and state specific laws that regulate collections and servicing activities.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED required (some college coursework a plus) followed by a minimum of three years of Financial Services experience, ideally in auto finance or an installment loan portfolio. Collection experience is a plus.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel /Google Suite.
- Able to master use of web-based system of record (LoanPro) – Training Provided.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written as roles are a combination phone and communicating through chat and email. Bi-Lingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Excellent “people” skills and a strong customer service attitude.
- Demonstrates problem solving ability.
- Ability to express empathy and unconditional positive regard as you will be dealing with distressed consumers.
- Ability to learn new processes.
- Able to work a flexible schedule which may include some overtime, some nights, weekends, and holidays; Honest with strong work ethic, unscheduled absences are rare, always punctual.
Preferred Skills:
- Auto finance experience.
- Installment loan portfolio.
- Collection experience.
- Bi-Lingual English/Spanish a plus.
