Position Description
The Workforce Development Program Manager will develop, lead, and host our onboarding and development training curriculum for all Networks and Technology employees. This position will be responsible for ensuring all employees receive proper training to meet their responsibilities successfully - track progress, identify any issues with training methods, and implement improvements as needed. The Workforce Development Program Manager will develop, execute, and monitor training content, scheduling, coordinating SME trainers, and conducting post training evaluations ensuring key performance indicators are achieved. This role will also develop employees and leaders across all phases of their employment with Zayo.
Our ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in Zayo's culture and Networks and Technology objectives. The Workforce Development Program Manager will suggest ideas to achieve those objectives through a comprehensive training curriculum. For this position, you should combine excellent organization skills with an ability to interact with employees of all levels as well as cross-departmental team members.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quarterly skills gap analyses to identify areas of improvement for employees across the entire organization
- Lead all employee development training for the Networks and Technology team.
- Develop and deliver training on systems and Zayo processes and procedures
- Create, manage, and distribute training schedule and calendars
- Proactively communicate with trainees on scheduling and logistics
- Partner with and coordinate presenters from cross-functional teams to train employees
- Collect and report on feedback from trainees and managers about training content, engagement, instructor feedback and progress
- Develop full cycle training tools and content
- Provide internal training updates to the organization
- Maintain updated training material, curricula and resources
- Coordinate and oversee development events for employees like on site visits, or technical training in partnership with our vendors
- Report on training program effectiveness
- Work with Senior Leadership to develop new leaders in the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training experience
- Minimum of 3 (three) years of experience training employees
- Telecom and/or Technical training experience desired
- Salesforce experience desired
- Workday Learning experience desired
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact effectively with all personnel
- Solid communication, presentation abilities, and highly responsive
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Ability to manage the full training cycle, including in-person activities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and /or Google applications, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel/Google sheets
- High energy with a strong work ethic
- Pro-active autonomous yet comfortable teaming with others on various projects
- Additional certification in training is a plus
Base Pay Range: $66,500 - $99,750 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
