The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Windows System Administrator (Level 3) to join our dynamic team to support a DoD client in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Windows Server environments, possess expert knowledge in core Microsoft products, and be capable of handling advanced troubleshooting tasks.
Responsibilities
System Administration:
Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Domain Controllers (DC), Active Directory (AD), Domain Name Server (DNS), and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
Administer and support Exchange Server and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
Ensure the security and integrity of Windows Server environments.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Perform advanced troubleshooting for Windows-based systems and applications.
Resolve complex issues related to server performance, configuration, and security.
Provide Tier 3 support for Windows system-related problems.
Infrastructure Maintenance:
Implement and maintain best practices for Windows Server infrastructure.
Conduct regular system audits and updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of Windows systems within the broader IT environment.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on system status, issues, and resolutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7 years of progressive experience in Windows Server administration.
Expert Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of core Microsoft products including Domain Controller (DC), Active Directory (AD), Domain Name Server (DNS), Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Exchange, and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
Proven experience in securing Windows Server environments.
Strong skills in advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Certifications
Required:
Security+ Certification
1 Windows Server OS Certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or equivalent)
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
