Job Objective:

Responsible for leading the successful implementation of the Blue Zones Worksite Certification initiative to engage employees, leaders, physicians, and key stakeholders in creating a culture where well-being is prioritized and integrated into the daily employee experience. Success is achieved when the organization operationalizes the customized Blueprint action plan, embeds well-being into organizational culture and operations, and demonstrates measurable improvements aligned with the Certified Blue Zones Worksite framework. Serves as the primary operational lead and strategic liaison between Blue Zones and Eisenhower Health, ensuring alignment across leadership, departments, engagement strategies, implementation activities, and certification milestones. Responsible for navigating the healthcare environment with a growth mindset, empathy, strategic leadership, and flexibility to effectively support workforce well-being initiatives across clinical and non-clinical teams. This is a full-time, onsite leadership role to support enterprise-wide strategy, implementation, communication, and sustainability efforts across departments and locations. This position requires local travel.

Required: Five (5) years of experience in organizational well-being, employee engagement, health promotion, wellness consulting, healthcare administration, organizational transformation, or related leadership roles; knowledge of and demonstrated belief in the Blue Zones principles

Preferred: Experience leading large-scale organizational initiatives, culture transformation efforts, or strategic workforce well-being programs; experience working within healthcare systems, hospitals, provider groups, or complex matrixed
organizations

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

• Strong strategic leadership and relationship management skills. • Demonstrated ability to influence and engage executive leadership, physicians, clinicians, and cross-functional teams • Adept at leading organizational culture transformation initiatives and navigating complex healthcare environments • Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills • Ability to inspire, influence, and motivate diverse stakeholder groups toward shared organizational goals • Strong project management and operational execution skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously • Experience developing and tracking strategic goals, engagement metrics, participation targets, and implementation plans • Ability to represent Blue Zones with organizational leaders, community partners, media, and the public • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary, multicultural, and multisector partnerships • Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office • Energized by the Blue Zones mission to empower everyone, everywhere to live better, longer

Essential Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and reports suspected violations.
2. Serves as the strategic and operational lead for the development and execution of the customized multi-year Blue Zones workforce engagement Blueprint, aligned with organizational goals, retention strategies, culture transformation, and performance outcomes.
3. Partners closely with executive sponsors, steering committee members, department leaders, Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, Operations, Facilities, Food and Nutrition Services, Employee Well-Being teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders to operationalize well-being strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
4. Cultivates strong relationships with participating worksite point of contacts and teams to maximize leader and employee engagement, adopt best practices, and achieve well-being improvement goals. 
5. Facilitates and leads the Blue Zones Steering Committee/Governance structure to support planning, decision-making, communication, accountability, and implementation progress.
6. Develop and execute organization-wide engagement strategies that increase participation in Blue Zones initiatives including Moais, Purpose Workshops, volunteerism, well-being campaigns, environmental transformation efforts, and community activations.
7. Recruits, develops, and supports a network of employee ambassadors/champions who promote engagement, encourage participation, gather feedback, and reinforce well-being initiatives across departments, shifts, and locations.
8. Ensures ambassador representation reflects diverse employee groups, departments, shifts, and locations to support inclusive and visible organizational engagement.
9. Serves as the organizational subject matter expert on Blue Zones principles, workforce well-being strategy, culture transformation, employee engagement, and evidence-based health promotion practices.
10. Collaborates with the national Blue Zones team and internal Marketing and Communications teams to execute strategic communication plans that build awareness, participation, visibility, and leadership alignment around organizational well-being goals.
11. Reinforces leadership messaging related to culture transformation, employee well-being, and organizational commitment to healthier environments and practices.
12. Develops, manages, and monitors project plans, implementation timelines, participation targets, certification milestones, and budget considerations to ensure successful execution and accountability.
13. Collaborates with organizational leaders and the national Blue Zones team to collect and report organizational performance measures, impact stories, participation data, benchmarking metrics, and certification validation documentation.
14. Supports organizational participation in assessments, workshops, trainings, reporting activities, and continuous improvement efforts tied to certification and sustainability goals.
15. Partners with local community organizations and Blue Zones Project/community teams to align initiatives, support engagement opportunities, and strengthen broader community well-being impact where appropriate.
16. Supports participation in Blue Zones Project events, campaigns, activations, and community engagement opportunities to reinforce visibility, alignment, and collective impact across the market.
17. Supports long-term sustainability planning to help embed well-being into organizational culture, policies, practices, and environments beyond certification.
18. Performs other duties as assigned.
