Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University's Division of Public Affairs is seeking a Web Content Specialist / Writer in Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of responsibilities include:

  • Create new content for website pages, ensuring clarity, coherence, and alignment with the university's goals and branding.

  • Update and optimize existing web content to improve engagement and meet current marketing objectives.

  • Collaborate with the web development team and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of content for new pages.

  • Write content for various marketing collateral, coordinating with relevant teams to maintain consistency across platforms.

  • Implement SEO best practices to increase website visibility and search engine rankings.

  • Conduct research to ensure content accuracy and relevancy, staying informed about industry trends and developments.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate content ideas for various projects.

  • Additional duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
• Degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in content writing, preferably within a web-focused role.
• Familiarity with SEO techniques and tools.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of content management systems (CMS).
• Experience with graphic design or multimedia content creation.

Salary:

$50,000 - $60,000 per year.
