Waterfront Procurement Support Engineering Sr/Spec/Prin - Supplier Oversight
Waterfront Procurement Support Engineering – Supplier Oversight Group is looking for talented engineers who are looking to expand into the world of Project Engineering. This department oversees and assists the Electric Boat Supply Chain by working with internal and external partners to ensure outsourced critical material/products are delivered to Electric Boat on time, under cost, and with unwavering quality.
Responsibilities include technical evaluations, schedule and Earned Value Management (EVM) audits of our suppliers, onsite surveillance of suppliers, interfacing with the Navy and other government customers, and leading a team comprised of multiple internal Electric Boat Departments.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science - Civil Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Structural or applicable equivalent
- Ability to Travel at a regular cadence (15%+)
- 5+ years of post graduate engineering experience
- Ability to work a flexible work week to support travel and supplier schedules
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain management or Project Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in functional engineering
- Experience with Microsoft Project
- Experience with Bid evaluations
- Experience in a leadership or mentorship role
- Manufacture or Product Assembly Experience
- Ability to communicate and present technical material effectively
- Ability to work in a team
- Operating Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, PPTx)
Skills Required
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering, or an applicable equivalent
- At least 5 years of postgraduate engineering experience
- Ability to travel regularly at a cadence of 15% or more
- Ability to work a flexible work week to support travel and supplier schedules
- At least 2 years of supply chain management or project engineering experience
- At least 3 years of functional engineering experience
- Experience with Microsoft Project
- Experience with bid evaluations
- Leadership or mentorship experience
- Manufacturing or product assembly experience
- Ability to communicate and present technical material effectively
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
