Position Summary:
The Category Advisor is responsible for leading Greenworks category captaincy of Walmart’s outdoor power equipment categories.  You must possess a bias for action, be a critical thinker, and be able to help cross functional teams as well as Walmart merchant teams understand the category and identify the best ways to drive growth.  You will be a one-man category advisor team and need to be comfortable driving that work forward on your own. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Excellent ability to communicate internally with Greenworks cross functional teams to help inform go to market strategy. 
•    Identify root causes of customer issues and opportunities and deliver compelling stories to drive action to address
•     Draw key insights and business recommendations on distribution, assortment, pricing, and promotion by analysis of industry, panel, & market intelligence data (Traqline, Scintilla, OPEI, CRC, etc)
•    Develop and integrate consumer, industry, and retailer insights to better advise targeted strategies, plans and decisions
•    Integrate sales and industry data to develop impactful customer-specific strategies in support of key category business building initiatives.
•    Experience developing a Walmart modular (general merchandise experience is preferred) from start to finish. Ability to use clustering analysis to optimize and improve modular planning.
•    Lead broader space initiatives across aisle and store
•    Understand and apply best-practice category management processes
•    Build connections and inroads with Walmart merchant teams
•    Adhere to Walmart’s Category Advisor contract

Required Education and Experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus
•    Minimum 3 years of category advisor experience
•    Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), Power BI, JDA Space Planning, Scintilla
•     Proven project management skills. 
•     Detail orientation while managing massive amounts of data
•     Applicable experience in consumer-packaged goods industry; general merchandise a plus
•     Demonstrated deep understanding of Planogram & Walmart Relay management
•     Experience in Category Leadership [Insights & storytelling]
•     Experience calling on Walmart
•     Demonstrated space management software skills
