Position Summary:

The Vice President, Total Rewards - Americas is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and management of the company’s total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits and recognition. This role will ensure that the organization’s total rewards strategies are competitive, sustainable, scalable, and aligned with the company’s business goals. This individual works with senior leadership to attract, motivate, and retain top talent while promoting a culture of fairness, equity, and performance. GEODIS operates under a Hybrid working schedule with 4 days a week in the office.

Essential Functions:

Total Reward Strategy

  • Develop and lead the overall Americas compensation, benefits, and recognition strategies to align with organizational goals and promote employee engagement and retention to support the organization’s business objectives.
  • Ensure alignment of total rewards programs with the company’s values, goals, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
  • Lead regular market assessments and benchmarking studies to ensure competitive pay structures in alignment with local and global compensation trends.

Compensation

  • Oversee the design and implementation of compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, equity awards, and other incentives that drive performance and align with business objectives.
  • Manage the development and administration of executive compensation programs inclusive of developing materials for quarterly/annual Compensation Committee Meetings.
  • Partner with key stakeholders on the design and implementation of short-term and long-term incentive programs.
  • Partner with regional HR leaders and business units to tailor compensation programs that meet specific market needs while maintaining global consistency.
  • Ensure fair and equitable compensation practices across all regions, conducting regular audits to uphold compliance with local labor laws and regulations.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Develop clear communication strategies to articulate compensation philosophies and programs to employees and stakeholders globally.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all aspects of total rewards.
  • Partner with HR leadership and business leaders to align rewards strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Total Rewards team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Develop and manage metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and competitiveness of the total rewards programs.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and reporting tools to provide insights into compensation trends and effectiveness, driving data-informed decisions.
  • Manage compensation and benefits budgets and analyze financial impact.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all total rewards programs comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Stay informed on the latest trends, technologies, and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  • Ensure internal policies and practices promote equity and fairness in compensation and benefits administration.

General

  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct and all other company policies.
  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, and total rewards, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in executive compensation, salary structure development, and benefits program management.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, ACA, ERISA, etc.).
  • Certification in Compensation (e.g., CCP, CEBS) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership experience, with strong team management and development skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
