Job Description
Role Objective
- Drive project delivery, change implementation and lifecycle management for messaging and M365 platforms.
- Lead the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 workloads and enterprise messaging infrastructure in a large-scale environment
Oversee core platforms including:
- Microsoft Exchange (On-Premise, Hybrid and Online)
- Messaging gateway appliances
- Archival and journaling systems
- Microsoft 365 workplace services
- Mobility messaging solutions (BlackBerry Mobility, Intune, MDM/MAM)
- Be accountable for service stability, availability and performance across workplace and messaging platforms
- Act as the technical lead and escalation point for complex issues, major incidents and service recovery activities
- Continuously improve operational processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams and stakeholders
- Support production operations, controlled changes and service recovery, including occasional weekend or shift work
Job Requirements
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of IT experience with strong exposure to Microsoft 365 and enterprise messaging platforms
Strong knowledge and understanding of :
- Microsoft 365 workplace services
- Email routing and SMTP architecture
- End-to-end messaging flow across on-premise, hybrid and cloud environments
- Exchange high availability configurations including Database Availability Groups
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and operational support
- Archiving and email policy management
- Microsoft operating systems, virtualisation platforms, Active Directory, LDAP, ADFS
- Monitoring tools, storage platforms and backup solutions
