VP of Operations - Healthcare Delivery Startup (Senior Care Telemedicine)

Remote, West Coast, U.S.A. Preferred

Position Overview: We are seeking a visionary VP of Operations to lead the operational strategy and execution of our telemedicine-enabled senior care delivery platform. This Operations leader will be instrumental in shaping the company's operational framework, optimizing processes, and driving growth initiatives to scale our business while upholding the highest standards of care and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Leadership:
    • Provide strategic direction and operational oversight to ensure the seamless delivery of telemedicine-enabled healthcare services to seniors in assisted living and group homes.
    • Develop and implement operational protocols, workflows, and quality assurance measures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of remote care delivery.
    • Collaborate with clinical teams, technology partners, and facility staff to optimize care coordination and patient engagement processes.
    1. Strategic Planning:
      • Partner with the Founder to develop and execute the company's strategic roadmap for expanding services in the senior care market.
      • Identify opportunities for market expansion, partnerships, and service diversification to meet the evolving needs of seniors and caregivers.
      • Conduct market analysis and competitive research to inform strategic decision-making and drive sustainable growth.
      1. Performance Optimization:
        • Establish key performance metrics and analytics frameworks to monitor operational performance, patient outcomes, and caregiver satisfaction.
        • Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for process improvement, cost optimization, and service innovation.
        • Lead initiatives to enhance the scalability, reliability, and user experience of our telemedicine platform while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
        1. Team Leadership and Development:
          • Build and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
          • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
          • Promote a positive work environment that values diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being.
          1. Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
            • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and industry standards governing telemedicine and senior care services.
            • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks and safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
            • Stay informed about changes in telemedicine regulations and industry guidelines, and proactively address compliance issues as they arise.

            Qualifications:

            • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
            • Proven leadership experience in operational roles within the healthcare industry, with a focus on value-based care, telemedicine, senior care, or geriatric services.
            • Deep understanding of senior care delivery models, geriatric medicine, and telehealth technologies.
            • Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to drive growth and innovation in a rapidly evolving market.
            • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
            • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive operational excellence and informed decision-making.
            • Demonstrated commitment to quality, patient-centered care, and improving health outcomes for seniors.
            • Experience working in a startup or entrepreneurial environment is preferred.
            • Experience working in clinical operations is preferred.
