Job Description
THE POSITION:
As a VP, MedComms, your role is to provide strategic guidance in developing, delivering and leading tactical integrated marketing plans and other complex projects for clients. In this role you are an extension of the client team and as the day-to-day relationship lead, addressing concerns while identifying incremental opportunities. You are also accountable for assuring you engage appropriate EVERSANA experts both in medical communications and across areas of specialization to counsel your clients on effective strategy based on research and best practices to meet their objectives.
In this position you own the book of business and business growth efforts. Internally, you organize, grow, and develop the team, while externally ensuring the health of the client relationship within and beyond the assigned brand team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Medical Communications services delivered in Europe.

Participate in vision setting for the client business, ensuring that you and the broader team execute it through day-to-day delivery of work

Work closely with both the Eversana-Intouch Healthware strategic leadership and US medical communications colleagues to deliver best-in-class and regionally appropriate services and solutions

Establish cross-collaboration with internal teams and agency partners, and foster sound relationships internally

Work closely with BD leadership in Europe to represent MedComms offerings for new business

Externally, ensure health in the client relationship in and beyond the assigned medical communications (medical affairs or medical education promo team)

Provide clients with research, analytical metrics, and strategic insight to facilitate recommendations for effective solutions

Oversee the delivery and financial impact on budget, and brand target goals and objectives with the client

Provide strategic leadership for yearly brand planning.

Ultimately accountable to the senior level client in partnership with Eversana-Intouch management working together to maintain relationships and address needs, concerns and escalation as necessary

Oversee and lead the development of the entire campaign from start-up to and project plans.

Research, develop and collaborate with Account Directors, agency departments and partners to continuously develop the integrated solutions offering from EVERSANA INTOUCH.

Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

Strong and applied understanding of operational delivery of compliant medical communications solutions in Europe.

Strong experience in medical communications supporting medical affairs and/or medical education pharma clients
-
Strong experience in directing content development efforts, HCP advocacy and peer-to-peer educational programming across channels
-
Strong strategic planning, brand planning, pharmaceutical product life cycle management and understanding of digital project development
-
Native/ fluent English a must, additional languages welcome

Demonstrate accuracy in reviewing junior team-developed scopes

Demonstrate accountability for financial tracking and management of client budgets and communicating with client teams and senior leadership

Own and lead monthly budget reconciliation and forecasting efforts

Able to collaborate and effectively manage at all levels and functions internally, and externally with clients and agency partners

Demonstrate leadership and mentoring skills, including assisting broader account team with junior account staff team development

Able to create strategic and tactical recommendations decks and lead/facilitate presentations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree ideally in communication/marketing, economy, biology/pharmacy and/or another scientific pathway
-
Approximately 8-12 years of related industry experience: client-side brand team, consultative, medical communications, medical affairs or promo medical education agency or division of advertising agency and/or pharmaceutical experience

Expertise in digital, media and technology marketing

Proven results with managing scientific communications programs from scientific platform through to peer-to-peer communications
-
Proven leadership and mentoring skills (guiding a large team and multiple clients); Responsible for account staff team development.
