As Vice President of Engineering, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage the engineering team, setting the technical and product strategy, roadmap, and vision in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day engineering operations to ensure smooth execution, high-quality deliverables, and efficient resource utilization across all development teams.
- Provide strategic technical direction, ensuring the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance solutions.
- Maintain proficiency in coding with a willingness to be relatively hands-on, serving as a technical mentor and being able to dive into complex challenges when necessary.
- Champion engineering best practices, focusing on the product development lifecycle, continuous delivery, and operational excellence.
- Build, mentor, and retain high-performing global engineering teams, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Utilize proven ability to scale internationally and bring experience from scale-up organizations to effectively manage growth and complexity.
- Partner closely with different stakeholders to define scope, priorities, and roadmaps, ensuring the engineering strategy meets market and customer needs.
- Own the engineering budget, driving efficient financial operations, managing costs, forecasting, and resource planning
What you will need to succeed in this role:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar product leadership role, successfully leading software development teams in scale-up.
- Background in software development with at least 10+ years of experience in engineering, and 5+ years in leadership
- Preferably experience with building and scaling B2B2C SaaS platformProven ability to scale teams and experience leading engineering efforts in high-growth organizations
- Proficiency in coding with a willingness to be relatively hands-on—you should be able to lead from a place of technical depth.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to explain technical strategy in clear terms to executives while engaging engineers and business stakeholders as trusted partners.
- A mindset that sees engineering and technical excellence as a key business driver, enabling innovation at scale.
