How is this role important to our work?

This position is accountable for the strategy, execution and delivery of digital business products. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating enterprise value leveraging modern, emerging technology to develop market-leading solutions that drive growth, profitability and industry-best customer experiences. This position is a hands-on role that is deeply fused with the business in the creation and delivery of differentiating digital solutions.

A Day in the Life:

  • Leads Bus-Tech Fusion – a large business-infused technology organization in the creation of new products, services and experiences.
  • Lead the reimagination and reinvention of technical and data solutions for the enterprise that enables efficiency, growth, and stronger customer experiences.
  • Lead the technology transformation to a product model.
  • Drives and implements the strategy of adopting digital information and advanced technologies.
  • Lead key initiatives in support of business objectives to leverage optimization.
  • Leads the implementation of modern architecture and development standards, including a strong, effective enterprise architecture function.
  • Achieves positive return on technology investments based on fact-based metrics.
  • Cultivates relationships and influences business partners as a strategic advisor.
  • Empowers innovation of transformation opportunities that will enable growth utilizing new approaches and tools.
  • Set the direction and leads the team including Cloud Technologies, Data Solutions and Product Development fostering a learning environment that fosters a growth mindset within the team.
  • Drives understanding of how digital technologies drive value in the enterprise.
  • Drive innovative thinking, organizational transformation, and modern approaches.
  • Develop standardized metrics to conduct annual analysis, and refinement of optimal utilization, performance, and expense.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Accepting this VP level position at BCBSMN requires signing an Employee Confidentiality, Intellectual Property Assignment and Restrictive Covenants Agreement as a condition of employment.
  • 10+ years of related professional experience
  • 7+ years of management leading related experience
  • Deep experience in digital transformation development and strategic planning
  • Demonstrated experience in data solutions and engineering
  • Extensive experience in multi-level team leadership, personal development and talent management
  • Experience with vendor management and driving successful outcomes from vendor partners
  • Deep levels of experience in digital platforms, digital product development
  • Proven experience in creating and successfully implementing new teams and disciplines.
  • Leadership experience with both large enterprises and small and/or startups
  • Strong collaborator and influencer who strengthens relationships and bridges gaps to align objectives with the business.
  • A strong balance of business skills, with a high level of intellectual agility.
  • Ability to think strategically, financially, analytically, creatively, and tactically.
  • Proven and accomplished leader with experience attracting, building, coaching, and developing a high-performing, cohesive team.

Hybrid Remote
