Synopsis of the role: This position is responsible for our data engineering, analytics & Insights practice which is rapidly expanding and works with clients in the BFSI vertical The incumbent is accountable for leading large teams and delivering analytical solutions in the areas of retail bank marketing and risk analytics for clients spread across India and other international regions This is a senior role with primary responsibilities on data engineering, analytics & insights delivery, presales support and building the analytics practice
What you’ll do
- You will develop the overall data strategy for EFX India and work with partners in Technology, Product and other areas to execute the data strategy
- You will partner with Technology to define data architecture and ongoing data quality
- You will be responsible for development and implementation of data governance
- You will lead the data migration from on prem to cloud platform
- You will work closely with the team and provide deep, hands-on expertise in applying machine learning, statistical inference, Artificial Intelligence techniques and predictive modeling methods
- You will work closely with Equifax clients in India and at international locations to deliver various solutions including but not limited to predictive modeling solutions, insights etc.
- You will ensure regulatory compliance on all deliveries
- You will have hands on approach on architect and engineer machine-learning pipelines with online / real-time features
- You will engage with clients as an expert in data analytics and insights related topics
- You will collaborate with customers to frame and define ill-structured problems and design effective solution approaches
- You will engage with internal / external stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide them with clear understanding of our products and services
- You will proactively ensure total compliance from regulatory standpoint
- You will engage with highly technical and non-technical Equifax leaders, partners, customers etc. and establish rapport, persuade others, ask insightful questions, and promote understanding across all levels of the organization
- Substantial prior experience making formal presentations to large and senior-level groups, as well as in smaller and less formal settings
- You will lead as a champion of change, ability to influence others to adopt new concepts and practices
- You will provide an effective time and project manager, balance a highly variable workload in a fast-paced environment
- You will provide thought leadership to projects and help develop solutions and deliver analytical outputs
- You will build and mentor / groom junior members in team to become future leaders
- You will operate as a critical thinker and creative problem solver
What experience you need
- Should have relevant degree (Bachelor’s or Masters) & certifications required for the role
- Should have a minimum of 10 to 15 years of leadership experience in the Data and Analytics space, leading a business unit for a banking or financial services organization.
- Should have experience in developing data strategy, establishing data governance and defining framework for data quality management
- Should have experience of migrating databases to new infrastructure preferably on prem to cloud platform
- Should have extensive knowledge on credit risk analytics and underwriting strategy from an analytics perspective
- Should have experience of leading large diversified analytics professionals to deliver ML & modelling techniques to drive business decisions using Python, SAS, R etc.
- Should have good experience in understanding the client's business requirements in terms of analytical needs and manage a talented high-end delivery team to deliver suitable ROI on analytical projects
- Should have experience of managing multiple projects / engagements through project charters, project plans, resource management, etc.
What could set you apart
- Experience and strong understanding of Credit Risk Modelling
- Experience in handling BFSI analytics for large KPO’s or banks in India or overseas for their lending business
- Experience of dealing with regulatory bodies first hand
- Hands-on experience in modeling techniques using Python, SAS, R etc.
- Self-starter with high energy levels and ability to lead and inspire teams
- Exposure to unstructured data analytics, machine learning, Cloud computing / analytics and Big Data a plus
