Location: Ideally Poland, but location across Central Eastern Europe region would be considered.

This opportunity arises following the sudden passing of our respected colleague and leader, Robert Kaszyński. As we seek the next leader for this role, we do so with gratitude for his legacy and a commitment to continuing the values he championed every day. 

The Opportunity 

 

Reporting directly to the President International, the Vice President, Central Eastern Europe will lead our businesses across Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania. 

This is a significant leadership role with full responsibility for the commercial performance, operational effectiveness and strategic direction of the region. The successful candidate will lead a diverse team, oversee regional P&L performance and play a key role in advancing our long-term growth ambitions. 

 

We are seeking a commercially curious and strategically minded leader who can assess what is already working well, identify untapped opportunities, and amplify our existing strengths to accelerate growth. 

 

You will understand distribution-led business models, know how to unlock value from customer relationships, teams, capabilities and market position, and have the ability to translate strategy into practical execution. You will understand the animal health landscape including pharmaceuticals and nutrition manufacturing partners.  

 

What Success Looks Like 

Over the first 12 months, you will: 

  • Develop a clear regional strategy that creates greater alignment and collaboration across the region. 

  • Strengthen commercial performance through sustainable revenue and profit growth. 

  • Build on existing customer and manufacturing partner relationships whilst identifying opportunities to expand market share, including exploring and leveraging adjacent channels. 

  • Drive operational efficiency and organisational effectiveness. 

  • Enhance employee engagement and leadership capability across the region. 

  • Support the continued evolution of Covetrus as the leading animal health technology and services company globally.

You'll likely bring: 

  • Significant senior leadership experience with full P&L responsibility. 

  • Experience leading multi-country regional operations within a matrix organisation. 

  • A track record of driving commercial growth within a distribution, healthcare or adjacent sector. 

  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution. 

  • Strong customer focus and experience building long-term commercial partnerships. 

  • Experience leading, developing and inspiring high-performing teams across multiple geographies. 

  • The confidence to challenge constructively whilst bringing people with you. 

  • A collaborative leadership style aligned to a people-first culture.
