The Team & Role
The Product Education team is a highly critical group within Zuora, responsible for delivering implementation-focused product training to our customers, partners, and employees. Our team is collaborative, passionate about learning, and open to giving and receiving feedback. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, engaging courses to our Zuora University students.
We’re looking for a passionate and innovative visual designer who is a creative problem-solver and advocate for beautiful and seamless end-to-end experiences. You’ll help define our Zuora design language to create innovative product courses that customers love. We celebrate diversity and inclusion of all candidates. What you’ll do
- Build courses based on defined roadmap and schedule, managing multiple courses simultaneously that are at different stages (e.g., wireframing, development, testing, pre-live edits).
- Applies judgment to determine the visual and interactive approach for learners by balancing scope, time and resources. Builds and nurtures a network of other visual design professionals, within and outside of the company.
- Create emotionally engaging user flows, data visualization, illustrations and icons.
- Continue to evolve visual frameworks and patterns based on brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with Instructional Designers and LMS Admins to ensure successful creation of courses.
- Evangelize the Zuora vision through product by creating elegant visual experiences from concept to implementation that delight our customers.
- Contribute to an amazing culture by collaborating with other user experience designers in Product and Marketing who are passionate around creating world-class experiences for our customers.
- Be a brand ambassador and accelerate the vision of Zuora’s user experiences by helping create and evangelize our Design System across all products by partnering cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success.
- Use design thinking to push innovation with a strong focus on creating consistent experiences to win the hearts and minds of people across a global organization.
- Strong craft with a point of view that’s backed by design rationale, data and customer insights.
- Solicit feedback and contribute constructively in design reviews to raise our visual quality bar.
Your experience
- 5+ years of B2B experience in the web, product, e-learning industry, or service-related B2B experiences in high-volume, high-profile, or award winning experiences.
- BA/BS degree and/or Masters in Design or relevant field (graphic, animation, visual communications, human computer interaction, product, industrial, or industry equivalent experience).
- Must be proficient in Adobe video editing software (After Effects and Premiere Pro) and design tools (Illustrator and Photoshop).
- Experienced in creating impactful motion graphics for e-learning content and visually stunning animation videos for online promotions.
- Strong knowledge in Captivate Classic/Articulate storyline to produce interactive course content.
- Skilled in creating engaging infographics, eye-catching social media graphics.
- Deep knowledge of design principles and methods, innovation, and ideation tools
- Ability to work well with ambiguity in a fast paced and continuously evolving environment.
- Organized, self-directed, efficient and able to manage multiple complex projects in a timely manner.
- Great communication, presentation, and storytelling ability. Effective collaboration and negotiation skills.
- A strong online portfolio which demonstrates both process and excellent creative execution where it’s obvious you sweat the details.
