About this Role

The GIP Infrastructure Credit platform invests across all major infrastructure markets and sectors, spanning the full capital structure and offering both investment grade and non-investment grade strategies. The team has deployed nearly c.$27bn across more than 270 investments globally. GIP's Infrastructure Debt business originates, structures and manages infrastructure investments designed to deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns with a focus on capital preservation and income generation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join the Fund Finance team supporting GIP's Infrastructure Debt platform globally.

The successful candidate will play a central role in the operational and strategic management of the Global Infrastructure Debt ("GID") platform, GIP's flagship non-investment grade commingled fund platform, which invests across a broad range of infrastructure sectors and debt structures, including senior secured, second lien and holding company financings. Working closely with Investment Teams, Asset Management, Fund Accounting, Fund Administration, Legal, Tax, Portfolio Compliance and Investor Relations, the individual will help drive the effective management and continued growth of the platform.

The role spans the full investment lifecycle from transaction execution and portfolio construction through to liquidity management, valuations, financing oversight, reporting and investor servicing, while also supporting the continued evolution of the platform and launch of new products.

The successful candidate will have significant exposure to a broad range of structures including:

  • Leveraged and unlevered commingled funds
  • Rated note structures (vertical and horizontal)
  • Asset-backed lending facilities
  • Subscription and fund financing facilities
  • Collateralized Fund Obligations (CFOs)
  • Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs)
  • Fund-of-One mandates

This is a highly visible role with regular interaction with senior management, investors, rating agencies, fund administrators and external counterparties.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Oversight & Investment Execution

  • Act as a senior Fund Finance lead supporting the GID platform and associated feeder, financing and leverage vehicles.
  • Partner with Investment Teams throughout the investment lifecycle to ensure efficient onboarding, execution and ongoing management of investments across participating funds and mandates.
  • Lead allocation review processes and confirm adherence to allocation policies, investment guidelines and portfolio construction objectives.
  • Oversee transaction execution and settlement activities, resolving operational issues relating to compliance, settlement, funding, hedging and reporting.
  • Coordinate with borrowers, sponsors, lenders, legal counsel and external service providers to support execution and ongoing management of investments.
  • Maintain strong operational controls and ensure accurate investment setup and lifecycle management within Aladdin.
  • Review valuation outputs and challenge significant movements, assumptions or anomalies.
  • Partner with investment teams, valuation providers and pricing specialists to ensure robust valuation governance.

Liquidity Management & Financing Structures

  • Lead liquidity management across the GID fund complex, including cash forecasting, unfunded commitments, deployment planning and dry-powder management.
  • Determine optimal funding strategies through a combination of:
    • Investor capital calls
    • Subscription facilities
    • Asset-backed lending facilities
    • Fund-level leverage arrangements
  • Coordinate capital calls, fund borrowings, distributions and debt service obligations across fund structures.
  • Oversee ongoing management of financing facilities, including:
    • Borrowing base calculations
    • Covenant monitoring
    • Utilization management
    • Lender reporting requirements
  • Partner with Treasury, Asset Management, NAV Oversight and Fund Accounting teams to optimize liquidity and minimize cash drag.

Structured Products & Complex Fund Vehicles

  • Support operational oversight of rated note structures, securitization vehicles and other structured financing solutions utilized across the platform.
  • Monitor structural tests, waterfalls, reserve requirements and reporting obligations associated with leveraged vehicles.
  • Support the launch and implementation of new products, including leveraged funds, CFOs, ABL structures and bespoke client solutions.

Reporting, Client Support & Regulatory Oversight

  • Oversee production and review of investor reporting, management reporting, financial reporting and board materials.
  • Support responses to investor due diligence requests, operational reviews and ad hoc client enquiries.
  • Coordinate investor-specific reporting obligations, side letter requirements and bespoke reporting solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements across all applicable structures.
  • Provide management information and strategic insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Review operational implementation of client commitments and reporting obligations across the platform.

Platform Development & Leadership

  • Drive operational scalability across a rapidly growing infrastructure debt platform.
  • Lead initiatives focused on process optimization, automation, data governance and AI-enabled workflow improvements.
  • Enhance reporting and data capabilities through Power BI and other technology solutions.
  • Develop and document controls, procedures and best practices across the Core PM function.
  • Support operational implementation of new products and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the Fund Finance team.
  • Act as a key stakeholder across cross-functional initiatives supporting the broader BlackRock and GIP operating model.

Candidate Profile

Required Experience

  • Relevant experience within private credit, infrastructure debt, structured finance, fund finance, asset management, fund operations, or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility and expertise.
  • Strong understanding of closed-ended private fund structures and institutional investor requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex fund operations, liquidity processes and capital activity.
  • Experience coordinating capital calls, distributions, financing activities and investor reporting.
  • Strong understanding of fund accounting, fund administration and valuation processes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • ACA, ACCA, CFA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline.
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience with Aladdin, Power BI, SQL, Python or similar data platforms is advantageous.

Development Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to operate at the center of one of the industry's largest and most sophisticated infrastructure debt platforms. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a diverse range of institutional vehicles and financing structures, including leveraged funds, rated note programs, ABL facilities, CFO structures, SMAs and bespoke client mandates.

This role provides significant interaction with senior investment professionals and leadership teams while offering the opportunity to shape the continued evolution of GIP's global Infrastructure Debt platform.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$155,000.00 - USD$210,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
