Overview
The Vice President, Finance Business Partner is the senior finance leader supporting Services Sales, Product, and Enablement functions across a global, matrixed organization.
Acting as a strategic finance partner to the business, this role owns end-to-end financial performance, planning, and investment discipline. Ensuring alignment across commercial strategy, product innovation, and enterprise growth priorities. The role is critical in driving scalable revenue growth, optimizing investments, and enabling operational excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
Strategic Finance Leadership
Serve as a trusted advisor to Services Leadership Team members
Influence commercial strategy, product roadmap decisions, and execution priorities
Financial Planning & Performance Management
Lead end-to-end planning processes (strategic plan, annual budget, quarterly forecasts)
Drive financial rigor, transparency, and accountability across revenue and cost drivers
Investment Governance & Capital Allocation
Shape and challenge investment decisions across sales coverage, enablement, product development, and strategic initiatives
Ensure disciplined, ROI-driven capital allocation aligned to growth and profitability targets
Commercial & Product Partnership
Partner with Sales and Product teams to inform pricing, deal economics, and monetization strategies
Support scalable growth across products, solutions, and platform-based offerings
Go-To-Market & Enablement Support
Provide financial insight into sales productivity, channel investments, and go-to-market effectiveness
Help optimize coverage models, incentive structures, and customer acquisition strategies
Performance Insights & Analytics
Define and track key metrics (revenue growth, sales productivity, pipeline conversion, cost efficiency, profitability)
Translate complex data into actionable insights and executive-level narratives
Business Case Development
Lead development of business cases and financial models for growth initiatives, market expansion, and product investments
Ensure alignment with enterprise return thresholds and strategic priorities
People & Organization Leadership
Lead and develop a high-performing global finance team
Drive cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Sales, Product, Strategy, and Operations
All About You
Strong experience in finance business partnering, FP&A, and commercial finance, tech finance, etc.
Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive growth-oriented outcomes
Strong understanding of sales-driven and product-led business models, including platform and services environments
Highly analytical with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and clear narratives
Strong executive presence and communication skills
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed, global environment
Track record of leading cross-functional, enterprise-level initiatives
Experience & Education
10+ years of experience in finance, strategy, or business partnering roles
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Miami, Florida: $189,000 - $312,000 USD
O'Fallon, Missouri: $189,000 - $312,000 USD
