Overview
The Network Economics & Value Optimization (NEVO) team plays a critical role in shaping Mastercard's network economics by driving governance, strategic alignment, value optimization, and execution across pricing and interchange initiatives globally. The Team partners with regional teams, product organizations, finance, legal, compliance, and other business functions to ensure economics related decisions support Mastercard's growth strategy while maintaining consistency, transparency, and regulatory readiness.
As Mastercard continues to expand its products, services, and ecosystem, the need for scalable governance frameworks, disciplined execution has never been greater. This role will support the development and management of governance processes, pricing and interchange policies, strategic initiatives, and performance management practices that help optimize value, improve decision making, and strengthen organizational accountability.
This position offers a unique opportunity to influence high impact initiatives across the organization, providing visibility into critical business decisions while partnering with senior stakeholders to enhance governance, operational effectiveness, and commercial outcomes.
Role
• Support the management and continuous improvement of Pricing and Interchange policies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure consistent application across regions and business units.• Develop and maintain dashboards, KPI reporting, and management reporting to provide visibility into performance, risks, and key initiatives.• Analyze trends, performance metrics, and business data to generate actionable insights and recommendations.• Support executive presentations, committee materials, and leadership reporting through clear, concise, and data driven storytelling.• Translate complex business, financial, and governance information into practical recommendations for stakeholders.• Track initiative progress, milestones, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to drive successful execution and business results.• Support regulatory readiness efforts by helping establish sustainable controls, reporting mechanisms, and governance practices.• Facilitate stakeholder discussions, working groups, and governance forums to drive alignment and decision making.• Support training, communications, and knowledge sharing efforts that strengthen governance capabilities and organizational understanding.• Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and execution excellence.

• Experience in strategy, governance, pricing, finance, business operations, consulting, or related functions within financial services, payments, banking, fintech, or technology organizations.• Strong project and program management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.• Self-starter with a strong ownership mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach to driving improvements.• Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution while navigating ambiguity and competing priorities.• Effective communicator who can translate complex topics into clear business insights and practical guidance.• Demonstrated ability to work across complex organizations and influence stakeholders without direct authority.• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow through.• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with governance, reporting, analytics, or project management tools is preferred.• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to assess data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.• Experience developing dashboards, executive reporting, management presentations, and KPI tracking.• Collaborative team player who thrives in a global, cross functional environment.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.

Purchase, New York: $137,000 - $218,000 USD
