This is a career-defining opportunity to lead a strategically important region at a pivotal stage of expansion. You will provide commercial, operational and strategic leadership across the European business, with accountability for growth, client engagement, delivery governance, team capability and sustainable business performance.

With Europe and the Nordics identified as key growth markets, you will play a central role in building Sedgman’s regional presence, strengthening client partnerships and converting opportunity into high-quality, commercially sustainable work.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead Sedgman’s European business strategy, providing regional leadership across growth, delivery, commercial performance and operational execution.
  • Develop and convert a strong European opportunity pipeline, with a focus on sustainable order book growth, client relationships, commercial quality and risk management.
  • Strengthen Sedgman’s market position across Europe and the Nordics, with a focus on critical minerals, battery materials and complex project delivery.
  • Provide leadership across studies, projects, tenders, proposals and submission governance to support disciplined growth and delivery predictability.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, partners and internal stakeholders, influencing across regions and operating companies.
  • Attract, develop and retain high-performing teams aligned to Sedgman’s culture, values and growth ambitions.
  • Ensure regional delivery is aligned with Sedgman and CIMIC governance, delegation of authority, commercial and HSE requirements.
  • Champion innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement and operational excellence across the region.

What we’re looking for

You’re a strategic and commercially credible senior leader with the ability to operate across regions, influence at senior levels and build the relationships, capability and performance discipline required to grow a regional business.

  • A degree-qualified engineering or technically aligned leader with extensive experience across minerals processing, critical minerals, battery materials, EPCM, engineering or major project delivery.
  • Senior executive experience leading regional businesses, complex project environments or multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Proven commercial leadership, including P&L accountability, contracts, negotiation, risk, governance and pursuit strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead business development, client engagement and market growth across complex technical environments.
  • Experience operating across regions, cultures and matrixed stakeholder groups.
  • Commercially astute, outcome-focused and confident translating strategy into execution.
  • Collaborative, decisive and adaptable, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and bring teams with you through growth and change.
  • A strong commitment to safety, integrity, accountability and high-performance team culture.

Why this role?

This is an opportunity to shape the next phase of Sedgman’s European growth, leading a strategically important region with clear growth ambition and global support.
