As a Vehicle Hardware Engineering Integration Ford Champ, you will gain hands-on experience bridging multiple engineering disciplines to solve real-world mobility challenges. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute directly to physical vehicle hardware development, learn systems engineering best practices, and play an active role in advancing our mission to deliver universal Freedom of Movement.
- Program & Meeting Coordination: Assist in aligning engineering design reviews with vehicle program milestones by organizing cross-functional meeting agendas, tracking minutes, and maintaining active issue roadmaps.
- Target & Data Alignment: Support the reconciliation of 3D CAD models with digital Bill of Materials (BOM) data, tracking packaging clearance reports, component weight, and part-level complexity targets.
- Quality & Validation Planning: Aid engineering teams in developing Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and tracking Design Verification (DV) test schedules to support milestone deliverables.
- Root-Cause Problem Solving: Participate in structured cross-functional issue resolution, assisting teams with root-cause identification, roadblock elimination, and documentation in standard issue-tracking platforms.
- Cross-Functional Integration Support: Collaborate with core engineering, styling, and program attribute teams to facilitate clear communication and assist engineers with standard templates and workflows.
- Active student from any of the last 2 semesters of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering.
- 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Must have the knowledge of Systems Engineering Fundamental and Design Thinking
- Analytical Problem-Solving: Strong critical-thinking and technical capability to investigate complex issues, analyze data, and support structured root-cause solutions.
