We are seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join our client’s team as aVan Sales Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling products directly to customers from the company-owned van, driving sales growth, ensuring timely deliveries, and building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales and
Delivery: Drive to assigned territories, deliver
products, and generate sales through direct interactions and order-taking.
- Customer
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships
with existing and potential customers by understanding and addressing
their needs.
- Product
Promotion: Present and demonstrate products,
highlighting key features, benefits, and pricing.
- Order
Management: Take orders, process transactions, and
issue receipts or invoices accurately.
- Inventory
Management: Load and unload products, ensure proper
handling of goods, and maintain accurate stock counts.
- Route
Planning: Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure
timely product distribution.
- Reporting
and Feedback: Submit daily/weekly sales reports, provide
customer insights, and monitor competitor activities.
Requirements
Requirements
- Education: Minimum
of a high school diploma; a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related
field is an added advantage.
- Experience: Proven
track record in sales, preferably in direct sales or van sales within the
FMCG industry.
- Skills:
- Strong
communication and interpersonal skills
- Sales-driven
and customer-focused attitude
- Ability
to work independently and manage time effectively
- Basic
mathematical skills for pricing and discounts
- Valid
driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Product
Knowledge: Familiarity with FMCG products will be an
advantage.
Additional Responsibilities
- Van
Maintenance: Ensure the sales van is clean,
well-maintained, and roadworthy.
- Cash and
Stock Control: Manage cash transactions, maintain proper
records, and minimize stock losses.
- Compliance: Adhere
to company policies, safety protocols, and driving regulations.
