Value Stream Leader
Location: Maryland Heights, MO
Job Type: Full-time, on-site
Salary: $55,000 plus 10% annual incentive opportunity
About the Role
We are looking for a Value Stream Leader to oversee production operations and lead a team in delivering high-quality products on time. This role is responsible for managing people, improving processes, and ensuring the efficient use of resources across the production floor.
You will lead front-line teams, partner with materials and scheduling, and drive continuous improvement efforts that directly impact performance and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and develop assembly leads and production team members
- Manage staffing, performance, and daily production activities
- Support training and skill development through structured progression programs
Production Operations
- Oversee daily production through area leads to meet output and delivery goals
- Adjust staffing and resources to address schedule changes and meet demand
- Ensure on-time shipments and efficient product flow
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with materials and scheduling teams to optimize production and inventory levels
- Support development of material handling and production processes
- Act as the main contact for scheduling and payroll systems within production
Continuous Improvement
- Lead and support improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Use data to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Help the organization adapt as it grows and evolves
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams of 15 or more
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead through influence
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work through complex issues
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using data to drive decisions and improve performance
- Strong collaboration skills across departments
- Experience in continuous improvement environments
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Work Environment
- Combination of production floor and office work
- Exposure to a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels
- Standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds may be required
- Flexible hours may be needed to support production schedules
Travel
- Occasional local travel may be required
