THE ROLE
Pure is looking for a strong Value Specialist that will serve as a vital resource for delivering proposals of Pure Storage’s capabilities matching with customers’ business objectives. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing customer business cases and IT stack and providing client value propositions, business cases and proposals. The ideal candidate will be able to work with a disparate team from Pure via outstanding documentation and deliverables.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Client Value Propositions:
- Develop persona-specific, outside-in value assessments that quantify our impact across key value levers—cost efficiency, revenue growth or protection, sustainability, and risk reduction. Collaborate directly with value beneficiaries to jointly validate and iterate these assessments, aligning on measurable business outcomes and ensuring shared ownership of the expected value delivered.
Client Business Case:
- Produce and maintain the client business case in cashflow and P&L formats throughout the lifecycle of the opportunity. Position and validate business cases with client stakeholders gaining support for the economic proposition. Participate and support in pricing discussions with the client. Standardize business cases around common inputs and outputs to create financial models that can be repeated quickly and easily across accounts.
Client Assets:
- Contribute to the writing and presenting of client value propositions and proposals, clearly outlining the overall value and financial proposition.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3-7+ years of experience in management consulting, value consulting, value engineering, financial/investment analysis, and/or other applicable roles
- You will have worked at a large consulting firm or a financial services company and preferably also a technology vendor in a pre sales financial analysis role.
- Knowledge of financial analysis, research techniques & sources such as blogs, Hoovers, Ovum, Factiva, Gartner, Forrester etc
- Ability to write detailed content - summarising customer content, value and insights in Executive language
- Deep financial analysis and modeling of ROI and TCO concepts to justify business cases. Deep knowledge of & ability to demonstrate the practical use of IRR, NPV & Payback
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, especially sales engineers and account teams.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering value
- Familiarity with tools to enhance, automate and simplify the process of delivering outstanding & differentiated data insights
- Strong verbal and written communication of qualitative and quantitative business cases
- Must be self-managed, responsive, and dedicated to customer success
- Master’s Degree, with financial background
