The Role
We’re looking for a thoughtful and collaborative UX/UI Designer to help shape intuitive, user-centred experiences across our direct-to-consumer digital products. You’ll work closely with a Senior UX Designer and cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life and continuously improve our customer journeys.
Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with a Senior UX Designer and wider business teams to translate business requirements into user journeys, wireframes, and intuitive interface designs for web journeys.
Create design deliverables including user flows, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity UI prototypes for web.
Develop and maintain UI assets and contribute to our design system to ensure consistency across products.
Iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability testing, analytics, and stakeholder input.
Work closely with underwriting, commercial, compliance, product, engineering, and data teams to ensure seamless delivery of user experiences.
Solve customer problems by balancing excellent UX with business goals—such as improving conversion while maintaining usability.
Support the optimisation of existing digital sales funnels by developing A/B test hypotheses, simplifying user flows, and contributing to test plans.
Identify and troubleshoot UX issues using user feedback and behavioural analytics.
Collaborate with external agencies focused on conversion optimisation and analytics.
A user-first mindset with a strong foundation in user-centred design (UCD) principles and UX best practices.
Ability to use analytics and user feedback to refine designs and improve key metrics like conversion rates and user satisfaction.
Web UI expertise, including but not limited to designing landing pages, quote/application forms, checkout processes, and navigation flows optimised for user conversion.
Comfortable managing complex user journeys, proactively offering solutions to UX challenges and iterating at pace.
Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
Basic understanding of HTML/CSS.
Strong communication and collaboration skills—you’re comfortable presenting your work and rationale to stakeholders and working as part of a wider team.
Awareness of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
Previous exposure to the financial services or insurance sector.
Understanding of the regulated nature of financial services, including compliance and data privacy considerations.
Experience or interest in A/B testing and experimentation.
Google Analytics, Optimizely, Fullstory/Contentsquare, Hotjar experience.
Strong experience in digital product design.
A portfolio that demonstrates your creative thinking and delivery of effective designs.
Case studies that show how you break down complex problems and turn them into meaningful, effective solutions.
Experience in insurance or other regulated industries is a plus.
