Leidos is seeking a highly skilled UX Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for analyzing and evaluating user problems and developing system recommendations to meet requirements. The UX Specialist will play a critical role in analyzing current technical processes, formulating new and modified business information systems, and coordinating with business and technology teams to ensure optimal user experience. Expertise in website development, visual and graphic design, and human factors engineering is required.
The UX Specialist will:
Develop and implement website designs that enhance user experience and align with business goals.
Apply visual and graphic design principles to create engaging and intuitive user interfaces.
Leverage human factors engineering to optimize system usability and accessibility.
Analyze current technical processes and formulate new or modified business information systems.
Coordinate with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements, including program functions, output requirements, and input data acquisition.
Execute user acceptance testing and coordinate system controls.
Collaborate with internal team members across multiple areas and external parties (e.g., sub-contractors, vendors) to deliver exceptional results.
Influence project and team leaders regarding solution design, processes, and approaches.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6 + years of prior relevant experience.
Utilize expert knowledge of advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
Apply a strong grasp of software development principles and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Demonstrate expertise in website development, visual and graphic design, and human factors engineering.
Required Skills:
Expertise in website development and user interface design.
Proficiency in visual and graphic design principles.
Strong knowledge of human factors engineering and usability testing.
Experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC.
Analytical skills to evaluate user business problems and develop system recommendations.
Ability to coordinate testing and system controls.
Clearance Required:
Must be able to successfully clear a Public Trust background determination during the course of employment.

Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
