About the Role:
Are you a proactive, detail-oriented individual with an interest in user research? We are seeking a motivated Summer Intern to join our team as an User Experience Researcher. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in using quantitative and qualitative methods to pinpoint user needs and validate solutions within a dynamic and supportive team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Interface with other interns that may represent product or design
- Learn about how UXR raises awareness of user needs, pain points, and behaviors.
- Learn processes to understand stakeholder research needs and identify the right research methodologies to address them.
- Practice executing a research project from initial kick off, to fielding/interviewing, to sharing findings as a primary researcher.
- Develop UX Research artifacts including proposals, moderator's guides, and results summaries with assistance.
Preferred Skills:
- Class in research methods for social sciences, helpful if you have also taken a statistics course.
- An obsession with understanding how to make amazing experiences for human beings.
- Experience with UX Research tools like the OptimalSort, UserZoom, UserTesting.com , or other tools is helpful, but not required!
- Experience with Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or other survey platforms.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Master's Degree or higher in HCI, psychology, human factors, social science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.

Pay rates for internships are determined based on academic tenure and major.
