Stellantis is looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable Trade Professional to join the US Customs organization. This position is responsible for supporting all US Customs Compliance Activities for Stellantis. The role will support Customs Compliance activities with a focus on USMCA Free Trade Agreement Qualification and Forecasting. The role will also be supporting additional activities such as Classification, USMCA Reconciliation, FTA/Origin Solicitation, Country of Origin Determination, managing the service provider(s) and supporting study requests. This is a high visibility role with regular participation in upper MGMT level meetings and communication with executive-level groups.
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manage USMCA Program for current and future Fleet
- Support FTA Solicitation / Qualification of all Parts and Vehicles
- FTA Rule of Origin Subject Matter Expert for Government Affairs and Legal
- Duty Impact studies to evaluate future Product and Sourcing Strategies
- Elevate FTA/Duty Risk through leadership channels to course-correct for compliance
- Represent Customs on various cross-functional teams at all levels in the organization
- Manage 3rd Party service provider for support with Classification, Broker Entry Referral, and country of origin document solicitation and ensuring KPI’s are established and met
- Support our Broker with USMCA Reconciliation programs
- Complete Transactional & Non-Transactional Audits for various Customs Compliance Programs
- Communicate with US Customs & Border as well as US Trade Representative officials as needed
- Driving IT Process Improvements that streamline processes and increases compliance
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Finance, Economics or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in Customs Compliance, preferably in the automotive industry
- Knowledge of US Customs rules and regulations
- Experience in associated supply chain management disciplines
- Extensive Understanding of FTA Regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree preferred
Skills / Abilities:
- Work both independently and within a team of customs technical experts
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficiency in working with Qlik Sense or similar Business Intelligence Tools
