US Chemical Storage currently has an opening for a Mechanical Assembly Associate in Wilkesboro, NC.   


General Summary 

In order to be considered for an opportunity, you must be willing to meet the following criteria:   

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble appropriate materials.
  • Read and interpret drawings and work orders.
  • Clean parts and work area thoroughly.
  • Must be able to Follow Verbal and Written Instructions.
  • Must have excellent Interpersonal skills and excellent attendance.
  • Must be able to follow proper lifting techniques.
  • Must be able to use all hand tools required to perform the job but not limited to:  hammers, drills, saws, screw guns, metal shears, utility knives, framing square, edging tool, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Must have a great attitude and willing to grow with the company.
  • Must always diligently follow safe practices for yourself and team members.
  • Must be able to work in a flexible team environment with job rotation as needed.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Willingness to cross train for other job functions such as testing, quality review and packing/crating product.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to use ladders at least 10 feet off the ground
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, stand and walk up to 8 hours per day
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, pull, push and lift up to 50 lbs up to10 hrs per day and when overtime is scheduled. 
  • Wear all required PPE including:  steel toed shoes and safety glasses
  • Good physical condition and endurance
