The NY Quality Assurance Lead plays a meaningful role in ensuring quality excellence across major capital projects. Reporting to the NY Sr. Commissioning Manager, this position provides owner-side leadership for construction quality programs, contractor compliance, commissioning readiness, and turnover documentation. This is a unique opportunity to influence project outcomes, drive continuous improvement, and help deliver facilities that meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational readiness.
Responsibilities:
  • Establish project quality governance, critical metrics, audit requirements, reporting processes, and performance management routines
  • Lead contractor and vendor quality oversight, including quality plans, inspection and test plans, hold points, material verification, and work verification
  • Ensure quality execution aligns with commissioning readiness, startup activities, operational turnover requirements, and owner acceptance criteria
  • Oversee special inspections, testing agencies, AHJ coordination, inspection records, and regulatory compliance documentation
  • Drive issue resolution through NCR/COR/DWN/NGI management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons learned initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Quality Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in construction quality, industrial quality, commissioning, semiconductor facilities, manufacturing, or large capital project execution
  • 5+ years of experience leading quality programs, teams, contractors, or inspection functions on complex capital projects
  • Experience with contractor quality governance, special inspections, commissioning readiness, issue management, and turnover documentation
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems, document control systems, project reporting tools, and construction management platforms

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience supporting construction quality, industrial quality, commissioning, semiconductor facilities, manufacturing, or large capital projects
  • Experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, advanced manufacturing, or complex industrial environments
  • Experience with Smart Completions, Procore, and digital quality or project documentation systems
  • Professional certifications such as CQM, CMQ/OE, CQE, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CCQM, PE, or CCP
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve quality governance, reporting, documentation management, and operational efficiency

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$120,000.00 - $203,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
