In a support role to the team the Multi-Line Underwriting Assistant responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities- New Business support, such as, pre-bind risk analysis within prescribed authority, reconciliation of binds to ensure all issued.
- Renewal support including pre-underwriting review, quoting, system updates, data collection and any other non-core underwriting type duties as directed.
- Broker of record handling
- Endorsement review and pre-screening as directed
- Cancellation and reinstatement handling as directed.
- Recommendation review and handling.
- Special projects as needed
- Maintains ownership of tasks assigned and provide acceptable service standards when processing and assigning tasks.
- Provide agency support to assigned agents by answering general questions, providing endorsement status, cancellation status, billing inquires, etc. or directs to correct contact.
- Have the knowledge and skills needed to review Workers’ Compensation lines of business.
- Proven team player and energetic personality.
- Positive “can-do” attitude
- 1-2 years of experience as an Underwriting assistant
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- High commitment to achievement of business goals.
- Ability to work beyond core work hours
- Genuine interest and passion for the business demonstrated by actions.
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet productivity deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented with a desire to learn.
The expected salary range for this role is $17.00-$26.00/HR.
