About the Role:
As a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic at Dumas, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing the fleet of heavy mining equipment that keeps our operations running safely and efficiently. You will work underground in a fast-paced setting, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime to support production goals while working safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair underground mining equipment, including jumbos, MacLean bolters, scoops, utility vehicles, and drills.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts used.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform root cause analysis for failures.
- Ensure compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
Qualifications:
- Valid Red Seal/Journeyman License in a Mechanic trade along with 3+ years of heavy-duty mechanic experience
- Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification.
- Strong knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques.
- Ability to work in physically demanding and confined environments.
- Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.
