15 UI Adjudicators (Benefits & Eligibility Specialists)
The work: reviewing applications for public assistance programs and determining eligibility through interactive interviewing and fact gathering. Verifying that forms are complete and accurate, following up with applicants as needed, explaining rules and policies to claimants, representatives, employers, doctors, and state and federal agencies, and advising applicants on which programs may benefit them.
The facts:
- $18.61/hr W2
- Location: 1789 W Jefferson St, Phoenix, AZ 85007, 100% onsite
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Start date: September 8, 2026, firm, expedited onboarding required
- Duration: 8 weeks, with approximately 7 weeks of fully in-person training. Contractors may transition to permanent full-time state employment after training.
- Occasional travel may be required for off-site meetings or training
Required:
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- High school diploma
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work 100% onsite with reliable transportation
- Must be able to start September 8, 2026
- Phoenix-area residents only, your current city must appear on your resume

Preferred: experience performing eligibility reviews, or previous insurance adjudicator experience.
