Trouble Shooter - Radio Repair
About the role
We are looking for a Trouble Shooter to support the Radio Repair Center within BNEW GSU NP CN OP Operations. In this role, you will investigate and repair defective units identified during the production process, perform functional testing and quality checks, and release qualified products back to the production flow.
The position focuses primarily on Ericsson Radio products and requires a practical electronics mindset, structured troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams.
What you will do
- Troubleshoot defective Radio units and modules identified during production or repair activities.
- Analyze symptoms, identify fault causes, and determine appropriate repair actions in accordance with approved instructions and technical requirements.
- Perform hardware repair, rework, verification testing, and final self-inspection before returning products to the production process.
- Use electronic measurement instruments and relevant test equipment safely and correctly, such as multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and power meters.
- Record troubleshooting results, repair actions, test results, and relevant traceability information accurately.
- Escalate recurring, complex, or potentially systemic issues to the production supervisor, quality, process, or engineering teams.
- Provide clear feedback on product quality issues, repair findings, process risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Follow work instructions, ESD controls, safety requirements, quality procedures, and 5S standards at the repair station.
- Maintain the condition, calibration status, and orderly use of repair tools, instruments, fixtures, and work areas.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring defects and contribute to reducing troubleshooting and repair backlog.
- Support training, knowledge sharing, and onboarding of new team members when required.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities that improve repair quality, turnaround time, and production stability.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the line manager or production supervisor.
What you will bring
- College degree or above in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, Wireless Communication, Automation, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- A solid foundation in electronic and electrical principles, including the ability to read and understand circuit-related information and technical documentation.
- Relevant experience in electronics manufacturing, product repair, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, or a similar technical environment.
- Relevant experience with Radio Access Network (RAN) products, telecom equipment, or other electronic and electrical equipment is an advantage.
- Practical ability to use electronic measurement instruments and test equipment.
- Ability to follow technical work instructions precisely and apply a systematic approach to fault isolation and repair.
- Basic knowledge of communication technologies and Radio product concepts is preferred.
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail, ownership, and a quality-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production, quality, and other engineering colleagues.
- English reading and writing skills sufficient to understand technical documents and complete work-related records.
