Trim Engineer or could be Entry level
Education
Engineering, Textiles, Industrial Design, etc. (or other suitable technical degree preferred).
1 year job related experience (Preferable)
Technical Skills.
Willing to develop ability on:
Seat Patterning - Able to complete seat patterns Understanding and applying one or more basic problem-solving techniques (eg. BEP, Kepner-Tregoe, Six-Sigma, etc.) to help solve a real-world issue. Knowledge of Manufacturing Process and requirements of a Trimcover Understand and basic operating of seat equipment used in trim cover manufacturing (NC Cutter, Sewing Machines etc.) Trim Cover Sewing Safety Requirements within a trim cover Standard components used within a trim cover. Knowledge of Material specifications and guidelines(Cloth, Leather, Vynil,etc) Understanding of 2D component and product drawings. Change management and BOM control Proficiency in Trim cover development from a 2D or 3D information source(ie drawings or CAD). Basic understanding of 3D CAD Models and Vehicle environments.
Soft Skills.
